CHARITY BEETHOVATHON

POSTPONED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON AND STAY SAFE.

On 16th May 2020, we will be attempting a Beethoven Symphony marathon (Beethovathon) to raise money for mental health charities in the UK and celebrate Beethoven's 250th anniversary.

We're expanding our ranks and are on the hunt for musicians who are brave enough to accept the challenge to play all nine symphonies in a single day with us!

We'd love a cross-section of musical society, whether you've just finished your Grade 8 exams, or already have a seat with a professional orchestra. All musicians from all backgrounds and walks of life are encouraged to apply to join our ranks for this charity event.

The day will be a light-hearted and fun-filled, with a fete in the grounds of St John's Church in Waterloo too.

We'll have our usual chats with the audience throughout the day to guide them through each symphony, point out some of Beethoven's quirks and reference milestones in his own life (as well as his own battles with mental illness).
